American Football UK Dates

News

American Football are coming to the UK for the first time to play three shows following their recent US reunion tour, and the reissue of their seminal self-titled album. It's actually 15 years since the release of American Football's self-titled debut LP on US indie label Polyvinyl.


Although the trio -- Mike Kinsella (Cap'n Jazz, Owen, Owls), Steve Lamos, and Steve Holmes only played a few shows and released just one other record (a three-song EP proceeded the album), their influence and legacy has steadily continued to grow in the time since they disbanded.

So to sample a piece of history, the dates are below;

14th May 2015 - London, UK @ Electric Ballroom
15th May 2015 - Leeds, UK @ Brudenell Social Club
16th May 2015 - Manchester, UK @ Gorilla

A Place To Bury Strangers - Transfixiation Tour

Brooklyn’s A Place To Bury Strangers have announced their fourth album, Transfixiation, which will be released on 16th February 2015 via Dead Oceans.

After two years of constant touring and recording since the release of 2012's Worship, Transfixiation sound like something to look forward to as does the 2015 tour dates below;

The return of Ride

News

The long awaited news that Ride have reformed had been announced. The band are hitting the road to play those classic shoe gazing tunes in the Spring.

Festival appearances so far include the Primavera Festival in Barcelona and Field Day in London. Other UK dates are below;

22 May: Glasgow, Barrowlands
23 May: Manchester, Albert Hall
24 May: London, The Roundhouse
07 June  London Field Day Festival

Smashing Pumpkins London show

News

The new Smashing Pumpkins album, 'Monuments To An Elegy', is out on 8 December and no doubt to promote such an event, thelatest live version of Smashing Pumpkins will play four shows in Europe. Joining Billy Corgan this time around is Jeff Schroeder, Rage against the Machine drummer Brad Wilk and Mark Stoermer of The Killers on bass.

Gov’t Mule revisit ‘Dark Side of the Mule’

News

Gov’t Mule are celebrating their 20th anniversary with series of live archival releases that highlight the group’s varied shows. No Gov’t Mule gig is the same as the band in true Grateful Dead style draws from more than 300 songs in their repertoire

The first of the archive release will be Dark Side of the Mule, which is out on December 8, 2014, and features 90 minutes of Pink Floyd covers recorded during the band’s Halloween 2008 show at the Orpheum Theatre in Boston, MA.

There will be three configurations including a standard version (1-CD), a deluxe version (3-CD/1-DVD package featuring the entire 3-hour performance) and as a double vinyl version. All configurations feature audio newly-mixed and mastered.

Lead guitarist, Warren Haynes, bassist Allen Woody and drummer Matt Abts just keep on Rockin'

Son of Dave UK Tour & Singles set

Son of Dave is busy once more as he releases a single, a new video and announces his latest UK Tour.

The Filthy 45's tour is all about the existing songs being given the Son of Dave treatment! Already known for his versions of songs by Daft Punk, Dizzy Rascal, WAR, and many others, he's decided to turn his hand to "murdering the classics" So to witness that fact as well as having a great night out, just follow the links below.
