Introducing LeeSun
- News
Apparently on the night of 9th October, Leeds-based artist LeeSun went to bed feeling unwell. She awoke at midnight with the haunting melody from We’re All Made Of Stars already in her head.
A few days later, the Canadian-Korean-British songwriter recorded the song adding just double bass and strings - in essence, she says, ‘it is a simple expression of both profound loneliness and deep interconnectedness between all people.’
This beautiful song only bodes well for LeeSun's future output, that's for sure.

Richmond Fontaine made their name with classic albums Post To Wire and The Fitzgerald, which picked up standout press & found their way onto several Best Of Year lists, kick-starting an underground following for the band. Vlautin is often tipped amongst the most literate lyricists in rock, with comparisons made to the likes of Springsteen, Lou Reed and The Replacements' Paul Westerberg. No slouch outside of Richmond Fontaine, Vlautin is also a published author via Faber & Faber, and last year the debut record from his other project The Delines, Colfax Avenue, made Rough Trade's Albums Of The Year list.
The release of YOU CAN'T GO BACK is backed by Richmond's first tour since 2011- an extensive UK & Ireland run through April, taking in a London Dingwalls headline on April 20 2016. There's a touch more on all this below,
Fun Lovin’ Criminals 'Come Find Yourself’ Re-Release & UK Tour
- News
A 20th anniversary collectors’ edition of ‘Come Find Yourself’ by Fun Lovin’ Criminals will be released on the Edsel label through Demon Music Group on the 19th February 2016.
Available as a 3CD expanded edition and collectors’ Deluxe Edition box set, the release features rarities, live recordings, alternate mixes, and much more from the vaults of this landmark record. Bringing a unique collection together from this seminal era for the very first time.
Speaking about the new edition, Huey Morgan said, “It’s a very unique record for the times, and remains so today - it’s not dated. It burned a path for crossing genres that we now take for granted. Looking back, it was a good start for a career in music that was uncompromising. You can tell listening to it, it was exactly the way we wanted it to be. There's still a lot of love out there for ‘Come Find Yourself’.“
To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the album which features 3 UK top 30 hits: “The Fun Lovin Criminal” “King Of New York” and “Scooby Snacks”, Huey Morgan, Brian ‘Fast’ Leiser and Frank Benbini will be playing the record from start to finish for the very first time on their world tour throughout 2016.

Our own man at Glastobury saw the band for the first time this June, "The sun came out for Motorhead who were up next. Classic heavy rock experienced (and a first for me) from the front rail of the Pyramid Stage with a constant flow of crowd surfers passing over my head"!
