- News
Listen to the great new track 'Squirrel vs Snake' from The Posies new album 'Solid States' due for release 29th April. The band are giving out a free download of this awesome track.
The band are from Seattle and are led by Jon Auer and Ken Stringfellow. When their long time drummer, Darius, died suddenly and unexpectedly last year, Jon and Ken were devastated. They have come through that, and produced a new album which marks dramatic changes in the lives, music and evolution of the band. Their sound still retains their legendary melodic abilities, their trademark vocal harmonies and their lyrical agility.,
SOLID STATES will be released on heavyweight vinyl LP, CD and digital on British indie Lojinx. We understand a pre-release tour edition, with bonus download tracks, will be available exclusively at live shows in Europe throughout April.

Left With Pictures track 'Terra Firma' from forthcoming album
- News
Left With Pictures will be releasing their 3rd album 'Afterlife' on 29th April.
The lead track is 'Terra Firma' which is a superbly crafted piece. Half way through the vocals give way to a haunting middle section of electronica morphing into beautiful strings and vocal harmonies.
Left With Pictures are Tom Walker, Stuart Barter and Toby Knowles. They are joined live by Alex Gold on percussion and Mike Cranny on bass. They are an orchestral pop ensemble from London. Formed in 2005, they started as three hard-up, classically trained musicians who forsook the orchestra pit who have expanded and refined their sound of inventive pop music, where the acoustic and the electronic are intricately combined.
We are really looking forward to the new album.
Wire new single from album 'Nocturnal Koreans'
- News
Punk pioneering rock band Wire return with news of a new mini-album ‘Nocturnal Koreans’, due April 29th via pinkflag. The band are sharing the first single & album titled track online now. It's superb. Have a listen.
The title track 'Nocturnal Koreans' chronicles a sleepless night the band spent in a seedy Boston-area hotel on their 2013 US tour. The track is the kind of charging, urgent tune that’s always been Colin Newman’s forte.
Bassist Graham Lewis’s lyrics make this one of guitarist Matthew Simms’s favourites on the record, largely because of the associated memories. Speaking about the track, Simms said “It’s a great snapshot of touring America, and when I hear or play that song, it reminds me of the many weird and wonderful times, places and people that cross your path.”

We've went a number of years ago and it was awsome. The sound was great as all the stages were in large tents with wooden floors and the food was superb. (We loved the cherry waffles).
