The fifth version of the Long Division Festival has announced the first thirty bands to be appearing across seven venues in Wakefield City centre, all over the weekend of the 12th – 14th June.

Moving back to June, the festival retained the stunning Unity Works as one of it's venues. Bands added are below;

If you fancy stretching your legs to The Best Kept Secret Festival in Holland this summer, the organisers have revealed some more names to their line-up.

Having already announced fifty three bands in February including, Alt-J, Noel Gallagher, The Libertines, Royal Blood, The Vaccines and First Aid Kit, the festival are pleased to welcome some more artists.

A$AP Rocky, Ride, The Pop Group, Temples, John Coffey, Kevin Morby, Vessels, Daniel, Norgren Föllakzoid, The Coat Hangers, Patten, Eskmo, Blanck Mass, Sue the Night, Kuenta i Tambu, Mourn, Cairo Liberation Front, Ghost Culture, Marmozets and  Torah

Following recent collaborations with Joe Bonamassa and Slash, Beth Hart is set to release her seventh solo album ‘Better Than Home’ on Provogue/Mascot Label Group on 13th April.

This is an extremely personal record that Beth has grasped with both hands and an album that blasts though the speakers on the rockers and soothes on the soulful songs in equal measure. It's a beautiful record.

Purveyors of Garage Rock Dundee style are The Shithawks. Full of rockin’ spirit there is a new EP is out now via Aberdeen-based label ‘Cool Your Jets’

Their EP  "GIMME FIVE!!!" was recorded, mixed, mastered and released over the course of 2 weeks last December, which  followed releases on Scottish indie label  Fuzzkill Records ("Shit Death" split with Deathcats) and Cool Your Jets ("Meat The Shithawks"). 

The latest ep has only a few copies left on Limited Edition cassette via Bandcamp,
