Jesse Malin - Spring UK Tour

Nice to see that Jesse Malin will return to the UK for a May tour and at the same time releases a new single, ‘Turn Up The Mains’ from his forthcoming new album New York Before The War which itself, is due on 30th March via One Little Indian records. Our review is here.
Talking about the single, Jesse describes the song as "a 'f*ck you' anthem to blow away all the things we are hit with on a daily basis to make room for something better. Sometimes celebrations can be fuelled by anger and anxiety."

A west coast Seventies vibe soaks the sweet single ‘Salvation’ from Shirley Said. Indeed it’s a double-A sided single that is released on 23rd March with the Psych electro ‘Merry-Go-Round’ on the other side.
A two-piece, comprising Giulia Scarantino (lead vocal, synth, piano, fx) and Simone Bozzato (backing vocal, guitars, programming), you can see Shirley Said live on Thursday 26th March at The Finsbury, London N4
A mighty evening ahead with Electric Wizard & Friends

Electric Wizard have announced three support acts for their upcoming headline London show, set to take place at the Roundhouse in Camden on Friday, 15th May.
Opening proceedings will be Moss, who describe their sound as “Horror Music”, followed by psych sensations, Purson, then Glaswegian five- piece, The Cosmic Dead, will bring an element of space rock to proceedings before the mighty Electric Wizard arrive.
This is a very special one-off event and follows in the wake of Electric Wizard's most successful album release to date, ‘Time to Die’ – the eighth full-length record from the band and their first to be released via Spinefarm Records.
Prior to the Roundhouse show, the band will release a new single; titled ‘Lucifer’s Slaves’ from the album.

Some top announcements from the organisers of the Green Man Festival this morning. Super Furry Animals have returned from their hiatus and will be the Saturday night Mountain Stage headliners.
Slowdive, Television (who will play their legendary 1977 album ‘Marquee Moon’ in full) are also joined by The Leisure Society, Sturgill Simpson and Natalie Prass all of whom are particular faves at Rock Club Towers.

After recently announcing news of their new self-titled album, due 13th April via pinkflag, Wire have shared a new track ‘Split Your Ends’ from the album and have also confirmed the other acts taking part in their residency at The Lexington next month.
The self titled album WIRE will be launched by the fourth event in the band's DRILL series entitled DRILL : LEXINGTON - five nights (14-18 April) at the Lexington in London with Wire headlining, plus a different curated support each night. This will be followed by a UK tour.
1976 to 2015, their 13th studio album and this band remain as vital as ever. See Wire live:
