So let’s start by asking you to describe your sound for anyone that has not heard your music yet?

Very diverse, we don't really like sticking to one thing, there's heaviness and sonic honey in there.

Your debut album is set for release in the autumn. What stage are you at with the recording of the record and where are you recording and mixing it?

It's 90% there on the mixing side; we are a one or two days away from finishing it. It's been a long time coming; we cannot wait for this to be out.

Where are your hometowns and do these locations have any influence on your song writing?

I don't know if they do anymore, personally I have been living all over the place for a very long time and I have a few places and faces I miss like home.

What was the spark that led you on a musical path for a career?

I don't know man; one fine day you pick a guitar up and for some reason it sticks with you.

Also I personally would never use the word career. I'm probably deluded, but I don't think anyone playing music should ever think of it as "work". Even if it is.

You already seem to have a number of shows under your belts, either on your own or supporting the likes of Tribes, Turbowolf and Dinosaur Pile-Up. Has all this been a learning process and how would you compare the performance of your last show, to your first gig?

Our first gig was terrible. We are definitely one of those bands that get better as time passes. Well, hopefully. For instance, our last London show was the best we ever played.

Do you enjoy social networking side of promoting the band?

They are dangerous things to get into. Really the whole social media thing is a collective mass experiment, we don't know what effect it will have on society down the line, we are not living in the real world as much as we used to. Sit on the tube and look around you. It's uncanny. I need isolation in order to write, so I'm not on twitter or facebook much at all.

What is the favourite music played in the tour van and who controls the CD player when on the road?

Big Star, Smashing Pumpkins, Red House Painters, Wilco, Grant Lee Buffalo, Pantera, Dre...all sorts. And they think otherwise but of course I do.

Have you had any thoughts about the formats you will use to release your debut LP on? CD, Vinyl, Cassette, Download?

I think all of the above to be honest, not sure about cassettes, it's such a hipster thing to do isn't it.

Have you decided on the album cover and who is designing it?

Not yet, we are literally making decisions these days.

As a band or artist today, how far can you take the DIY approach to distributing and promoting your music before, you need to call in outside help do you think?

Brave new world, I think we are entering a new age for music, no one really knows what's around the corner. I think in the long run it's hard to sustain the costs of being a band without outside help.

Is there any downtime at this stage of you career and if so, how do you like to spend it?

I love table tennis. I haven't played in like a year but it's so relaxing.
