Former frontman of Grant-Lee Buffalo., Nashville-based singer-songwriter Grant-Lee Phillips recently released his ninth solo album, 'Widdershins', on Yep Roc Records and today he has launched his new video for the single "King of Catastrophes"
“King of Catastrophes is a bundle of anxieties, disguised as a lullaby." Grant-Lee Phillips explains, "I tried to squeeze in every cataclysm I could think of in three minutes, all the ones that rhymed at least – I could have gone on. We were snowed in for a few days in Tennessee. In my state of cabin fever, I made this video.”

Recorded over four days at Sound Emporium in Nashville, the new album, Widdershins was produced by Phillips (guitar/vocals/keyboards) and cut largely live in the studio as a trio with Jerry Roe (drums) and Lex Price (bass). Mixed by Tucker Martine (The Decemberists, My Morning Jacket) and engineered by Mike Stankiewicz.
